> This bridge is on the Old Donner Pass Highway. It has spectacular Sierra Views and views of Donner Lake and Donner Pass on Route 80. A bear was walking across Rainbow Bridge (Old Hwy 40 at Donner Summit, Truckee) on Saturday when two cars also crossing the bridge scared the bear into jumping over the edge of the bridge. Somehow the bear caught the ledge and was able to pull itself to safety. Authorities decided that nothing could be done to help Saturday night so they returned Sunday morning to find the bear sound asleep on the ledge. After securing a net under the bridge the bear was tranquilized, fell into the net, lowered, then woke up and walked out of the net.

This deer was poached in Corning, Iowa. Not sure of the date. Shot the deer one night, then went to town the next day to get a tag. Tagged it, then started showing it around town. Wildlife Biologist was in town and noticed the eyes looked too cloudy to be shot that morning (the date of the tag and the day the kid said he shot it). DNR (Dept. of Natural Resources) showed up and agreed. DNR then noticed the tag; it was a doe tag. Well, one thing led to another and some details are missing, but here's where it stands today. Deer was scored over 250". Kid isn't in much trouble because he wasn't read his rights. Was subject to a $31,000 fine, but, because he wasn't read his rights, it's been reduced to a couple hundred bucks and he loses his license for 5 years - oh and DNR took the deer. Guess it's making a tour around Iowa and can be seen this year at the Iowa Deer Classic.

Thank Goodness for the plate glass in the door! Wouldn't this mess up your whole night if you were to take out the trash at the wrong time? These pictures are from Simsbury , CT. The pictures were taken standing in the kitchen facing the patio deck. The critter was watching the kids playing on the kitchen floor!
